If
I was lost and thirsty in the trackless wastes of a desert and happened to see
a palm tree on the horizon, I wouldnt say, "Oh well, since theres only one of
them, it cant be important." Instead I
would rejoice in the fact that even one tree exists, since it might mark an
oasis and water.
